Rainwater Collection Basics

March 11 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

$40.00

Rainwater harvesting is a popular alternative for homeowners and gardeners who want to become more self-sufficient by collecting rainwater  while reducing water bills. Rainwater can be used to water gardens and for emergency water supply. In this class we discuss the fundamentals of designing a domestic rainwater harvesting system, how to optimize capture and usage, filtration and distribution. Graywater systems are also discussed.

There will be a lunch break followed by a field trip to visit two nearby residential rainwater harvesting system projects.

Total Gallons Pledged

Together, since July 1 2015 we have committed to conserving 4570895 gallons of water a year. Your pledge will help us reach our goal of saving 7 million gallons this year, or maybe as much as the 9.6 million in pledges last year that blew our goal out of the water!
