Felton’s 150th Anniversary Celebration

Come find the San Lorenzo Valley Water District table at Felton’s 150th Anniversary Celebration to learn about the District’s history and where our community gets its water.

What: Townfolk of Felton are planning a 150th anniversary bash with entertainment, food and drink for sale, and kids’ events.

When: Noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 6.

Where: Felton Community Hall, 6191 Highway 9, and the Felton Fire Station, 131 Kirby St., in Felton.

History talks: Speakers Frank Perry on “Lime and Lime Kilns in Old Felton,” Lisa Robinson on “Fluming Times,” Traci Bliss on “Henry Cowell Redwood State Park: A Century of Memorable Moments,” Randall Brown, “Felton Fires and Firefighters” and Fred and Roberta McPherson on “The Natural Wonders of Henry Cowell Redwood State Park.”

Bands: Noon, Jazz the Dog, 1:30 p.m., Mackessy Family Ramblers, 2:45 p.m., Harry & the Hitmen, 5 p.m., Groovity.
