Groundwater Awareness Day
March 21, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeOn Saturday, March 21, there will be a Free Community Open House and Tour for Groundwater Awareness Day. This free event, hosted by Soquel Creek Water District, the Coastal Watershed Council and the Resource Conservation District, is aimed at providing information and access to our community about all things water! Join us to learn more about how your water is pumped out of the ground, tips on water-wise landscaping, conservation, and rebates, and get the latest on how the District is furthering evaluation of new supplies such as groundwater replenishment and surface water transfers.
There will be tours at the Rosedale Well and Treatment Facility (which is right next door to our office) every 40 minutes between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Also, don’t miss out on your opportunity to eat an edible aquifer (ice cream floats!).
For more details and to RSVP, visit our website at www.soquelcreekwater.org/welltour
If you click this link, you’ll also see the great poster promoting the event that was designed by Kalina Stephani and Addy Hayes, two Soquel High students who won first place in our poster contest.
Please pass this information along to your other social networks if you know of others who would be interested in this community open house and tour.
