Have you noticed water waste?

Each water district in Santa Cruz county has regulations that prohibit the following wasteful and unproductive uses of water:

excessive irrigation running off the property or spraying onto sidewalks and paved areas;
outdoor washing, including cleaning of structures and vehicles, without an automatic shut-off hose nozzle;
uncorrected plumbing leaks – by law, a reasonable effort must be made to repair or make arrangement for fixing a leak within 24 hours of finding it;
unauthorized use of water from a fire hydrant;
irrigation of non-functional turf at commercial, industrial, and institutional properties;
other discriminant uses of water
